We all work hard for our physical fitness by trying to eat right and exercise (in my case emphasis on trying learning), but what about your mental fitness or mental health? How do you strike a balance between everything in order to ensure your mental fitness and mental health are not taking a beating?
The vlog is my realization that I needed to do something and the solution I have come up with – Turns out the world doesn’t end if I take a day off of blogging! Who would have guessed? So last night, computer off, movie on, relax time – GO! I cannot tell you the last time I watched a full movie and it felt fabulous (even though I pretty much just dozed in and out on the couch). Great to relax, relieve stress, and feel recharged after a rough week with some tough lessons learned.
I am giving myself permission to do this more often. My mental fitness and mental health are just as important as my quest to get physically fit and healthy. I have to remember to not let my mental fitness and mental health suffer on my quest to do it all and squeeze in as much in as possible.
Tonight’s Mental Health Break:
A blank canvas and a bottle of BYO peach wine from our GA road trip this summer. I don’t normally like sweet wines, but this was fabulous. Don’t worry I shared the wine
My finished project. There are tons of studios around here that do this (Wine & Design, Bottles & Brushes, etc.) and I love that they all incorporate a lot of Charleston landscapes.
BYO wine, great company (I love that my mom and friends get along so well, probably because my mom doesn’t act a day over 30 13.), and an awesome souvenir that will soon be decorating my house all for $17 (Woohoo Groupons!).
What do you like to do to take a break?
I love to read and watch movies –
Any great suggestions for either? What must I pick up?
(I also love any excuse to wander through Barnes & Noble!)
