I may not be able to run right now; however, I still love the message on this shirt (and the cut & color). It reminds my that I will be a runner not only for my life/health, but for my entire life – I’m not letting one set back stop me.
I have a problem though. My fit clothes addiction is getting a bit out of control and they are so crammed in my closet that I can’t really see/find them all and don’t even remember what all I have. An Instagram friend told me I have even more workout clothes than she does, and she is a fitness instructor for a living! Whoops. (I better marry rich soon to support this habit! Know anyone?)
I realized that to make room on the shelf for my fit clothes I would need to get rid of something else – my jeans. I have about 15 pairs, but just wear the same couple all the time. I actually started to dig all the way to the bottom of my jeans pile and found a bunch of size 12s. I’ve been a 10 for almost a year now, marathon training will do that to you, but I still tried on the 12s just to see. All too big! Woohoo, woohoo, happy dance, happy dance.
Now that I have room my closet is finally all straightened out. I went all anal OCD and organized piles into pants, crops, shorts, tank, tees, and jackets so that I could see everything I had. The entire time I was doing this my inner monologue kind of sounded like this: “Oh, I forget I had that!” What color would you call that? Why did I buy spider print looking tights? etc. ”
And: “Why is it still 86 degrees out? It is October in 2 days. I want to get to wear my very first LuLulemon hoodie. (That I spent way too much of my nonexistent teacher salary on.)” |
Is your closet full of fitgear too?
I’d love to know: What is your absolute favorite piece?
(You know because I need suggestions so I can buy more obviously.)
