Recently many people have been asking me about Mizuno running shoes, maybe because I am slightly obsessed, so I wanted to provided a resource to those of you who are curious. (Make the switch, make the switch!)
There are three different options online to help make sure you select your perfect Mizuno.
The first option allows you to “Explore the Mizuno Lineup”.
I picked max cushioning since I am very injury prone and a bit heavy for a female runner (because I am 5’10). Then I selected medium structure since I don’t need a control shoe for pronation, but do like to have some structure.
Boom – there are my top 3 recommendations.
Notice that my beloved Wave Creation is right in the middle. The Wave Creation is my marathon training, long run, bread and butter.
You can also easily see what Mizuno shoes match your current running shoes by selecting “Switch From Another Brand.”
I typed in the brand I wore a few years ago, before I switched, and my old shoe model popped up. I selected my old shoe brand and recommendations for three Mizuno shoes that are similar to what I used to wear popped up. The Wave Creation is my marathon training shoe and the Wave Sayonara is my speed work shoe. (I have not tried the Wave Prophecy yet.)
Finally, if you have never been professionally fitted for a running shoe it is a good idea to choose the 3rd option “Start From Scratch” in order to make sure that you get the perfect Mizuno. This will walk you through lots of questions about your body, your running style, how you bend and move, etc. and at the end it will give you a report/suggestion on what Mizuno you should be wearing.
Have you ever been professionally fitted for a shoe?
Do you currently wear Mizuno? Would you ever consider trying them?
Did you visit the website? What model did it say you should wear? (I’m curious.)
This is not a paid or sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own as always. I admit that I am crazily Mizuno obsessed and blessed that they noticed said obsession and allowed me to become a brand ambassador.
