Fall Running Weather –
While we are still hitting the high 80s, or even 90s, in the afternoons this was the first weekend that my morning walks felt like fall. Just last week it was still 80-something in the morning, but this weekend it was 65 when I started out on my workout. That feels like a huge difference here, where most of my September workouts had feels like temperatures in the 90s and we aren’t even going to talk about how ugly hot August was. The start of fall is my favorite time of year and I can final feel that cool weather coming – it has me craving long runs!
Visiting Friends –
One of my best buddies just moved back from Tacoma, WA to Cumming, GA (an Atlanta suburb) this summer. Now that she is all settled into her new home it was time for a visit, which was just a bit over 5 hours away. I, of course, hauled the girls out for a long Saturday morning walk and they were kind enough to oblige.
The Return of Football-
Another reason I love fall is that football is back. Waking up early to work out and then spending the day cheering on my Colts makes for a great Sunday. Now, I will admit they are not doing so hot lately, but I love them anyways.
New Fall Hair –
My natural hair is pretty Barbie doll (Norwegian) blonde, but I always add some low-lights to give it more dimension and make it a bit dark so it doesn’t wash out my pale skin. However, when fall comes along I switch it up and add in red and gold instead. It makes me feel very festive. Can you tell how much I LOVE fall?
Faux Quest Bars –
If you have a Costco near you find these ASAP. They have the exact same stats as Quest bars, Same protein, carbs, sugar, calories…everything. The difference? At less than $20 a box when you do the math you are only paying 90cents a bar. That is way more budget friendly that Quest and I am all about saving money over here.
Trader Joe’s Trips –
I have been crazy lately and haven’t driven over the bridge (we measure distance in Charleston in bridges) to go to Trader Joe’s, instead I have just been going to the grocery right next to me. Well, it had been at least 6 months since I have been to TJs and I recently got the craving to go. My fridge, freezer, and cabinets are now totally stocked with awesome stuff you cannot find anywhere else. Plus, it is pretty cheap compared to most prices here.
