I am blessed to be a Mizuno Running Ambassador, which keeps me in fabulous shoes. However, the truth is that even if I wasn’t a Mizuno Ambassador they are the only shoes I’d run in. I know lots of you runners have a shoe that you feel the same way about, it is “your shoe”. I wanted to share with you which Mizunos are part of my 2016 lineup as I am a firm believer in rotating shoes so you can get the best wear out of each, and also so you can find specialized shoes that suit each activity you are doing better. (All these shoes are neutral.)
Mizuno Wave Rider 19 –
Mid to Long Run Shoe:
This is Mizuno’s most common shoe, when most people think of Mizuno they think Wave Rider and that is because this shoe has been setting a standard of excellence for years. The Wave Rider is a durable shoe with great comfort and cushioning. I like having this type of support under my feet when I am logging longer mileage.
Mizuno Wave Sayonara 4 –
Shorter Run Shoe:
The Sayonara has the same great fit and feel as it’s big sister the Wave Rider, but it is much lighter. This makes the Wave Sayonara a performance shoe that is perfect for all runners. I love the light, quick feel I get from this shoe on my shorter runs. It also makes me feel like I am flying during my 5K and 10K races.
Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3 –
Treadmill and Orange Theory Shoe:
The Wave Hitogami is the lightest weight and lowest drop of all my Mizuno shoes. I like a little more cushion on my outdoor runs, but the treadmill already has some extra built in bounce so I don’t need much extra on treadmill runs. Running in the Wave Hitogami makes me feel like I am just wearing a sock it is so light. Plus, it is also great for gym days because the low drop makes it easy to hope from the treadmill to squats and lunges.
Mizuno Synchro MX –
I tried out these new Mizunos because I have never had a pair of Mizunos that did not feature their wave plate and I was curious. I loved them at both Orange Theory Fitness and on shorter runs and they weigh about the same as the Sayonara. However, the truth is that I just loved the pattern and style of these so much that I didn’t want to get them dirty and they have now turned into my street shoes that I wear out and about.
Let me know –
Do you rotate through shoes or wear the same shoe all the time?
Have you tried any of these Mizunos?
