Return to Running –
April has been the month where I have been able to leave the run/walk intervals in the dust and return to full on running. I am still being smart and listening to my body and am starting every run with a 5 minute warm up walk and dynamic stretches and then finishing every run with a 5/10 minute cool down walk and more stretching (something that I plan on doing forever). I am slowly increasing my mileage and getting my body back used to running and working out. After 6 full months off I must admit I am a bit sore, but it is a good sore and I know it will lessen as my body gets used to the workouts.
A Mizuno Surprise –
I came home this week to a huge box from Mizuno Running full of all sorts of goodies to get me ready for the HOT summer runs that are coming my way (running through the South Carolina heat and humidity is no joke). They must know that blue and purple are my favorite colors because this box was full of them. A pair of tights, two pairs of short, two shirts, and five tanks from their spring/summer line – what a treat! I already started trying them out and am loving them so far. I’ll have to let you know what my favorite is a bit later.
ProCompression Mint Dots –
This special April Sock of the Month sold out fast, with good reason – I personally think it is the cutest ProCompression sock released yet. I was luckily enough to snag a pair of the Mint Dots as they were gone in only a few hours. I cannot wait to see what Pro has in store for the May Sock of the Month.
Kimmy Schmidt –
Just when I finally finished House of Cards on Netflix and I thought I might be all caught up on my Netflix favorites – BOOM Kimmy returns. This show was created by Tina Fey and I think it is hilarious. It is like one long SNL skit and the 25 min episodes are the perfect length. Once again you can find me on my couch with my NetFlix.
