Spring Break –
In case you couldn’t hear me screaming in joy from where you live – I AM ON SPRING BREAK!!! Am I this freaking excited because I am off to somewhere fun and tropical? No. The truth is I am just happy to have the time to get everything done that I don’t usually get to when I am working full time. On my agenda: an appointment every day, deep cleaning my house, sprucing up some blog pages a bit, working on my run coaching business, and of course getting my runs in too.
The NYC Marathon –
Oh, and while we are on the topic of things that make my break out into excited screams I Won the Lottery after 3 years of trying to get in so I will be running the New York City Marathon this year. My registration is paid and my flight and hotel are booked so I am going for sure and I cannot wait. This will be my first visit to New York and also my first marathon in over 2 years.
No More Intervals –
Ever since I came back to running I have been using a run/walk approach to ease my body into it after some injury and illness. When I first started back up I was at 30 seconds run/90 seconds walk and since then I have worked my way up. I am proud to say that I finished my last interval workout (5 minute warm up walk, dynamic stretches, run 10/walk 2 X 5, 5 minute cool down walk, more stretches) this weekend and will be back to running without having to worry about walk breaks now. Don’t worry I will still listen to my body and still be easing in, this next week is most 3/4 mile runs. Oh, and check out the tank I have on the the picture I just did a Tamayu Tank Review because I love this style from Mizuno Running.
Momentum Share the Spark Campaign –
Momentum jewelry started a #SharetheSpark campaign where they slashed their prices from $19 a wrap to only $10 each on two special sayings. Now, I am no way associated with Momentum, but this made me love them even more, because the idea behind the campaign is that they are discounting these two sayings in order to encourage people to buy a wrap for someone else and pass it on – to #SharetheSpark. I have already bought matching wraps for all the girls I coach (a few I still need to get in the mail) and one for myself. I love looking down at mine and thinking of all the amazing women I have sent them too.
