Moving Again –
I am working my way through a variation of the couch to 5K plan. It is one I modified myself to ensure that after four months off running because of injuries I ease back into things and don’t do anything too crazy. Each week’s run workouts include a 5 minute warm up walk, 30 minutes of run walk intervals, and then a 5 minute cool down walk. This week the intervals were 90 seconds of running followed by 90 seconds of walking. I am excited because next week it bumps up to 2 minutes of running followed by 90 seconds of walking. Baby steps.
Mizuno Surprises –
I also received an awesome Mizuno surprise this month. I came home just a few days ago to find a box from them sitting on my front step. When I opened it up I found two colors of Wave Rider 19 that I do not yet have. Score! The lilac accents on the white to grey fade look hot, but I must admit the all black fade may be the smoothest shoe I have ever seen. This picture does not do it justice.
The Gibblers –
Last year ProCompression launched a limited edition multi-colored stipe sock they nicknamed The Gibblers because these babies were meant for some Full House loving, crazy color wearing Kimmy fans. I missed the chance to snag them so I was really excited when they came back and instantly grabbed a pair of my own. These bad boys pretty much match with everything and also make my look ridiculously awesome, or just ridiculous – either way I love them.
NetFlix Series –
I have an addiction to NetFlix original series. Since I have not been 100% I have been doing lots of cross training on my bike which happens to perfectly hold my iPad – insert ridiculous amounts of Netflix watching here. I started out watching Narcos which is based on the story of Pablo Escobar’s rise to power and the start of the Columbian narcotics trade. I really enjoy stuff that is historical fiction so I was all over that. Then, since I am also into history and true stories I joined the rest of the world and watched Making a Murderer and let me tell you I got sucked it. However, now I just really want to know – is he guilty or not, because I know TV can really twist things any way it wants. Now I must find another show to watch while I ride – suggestions?
Let me know-
What have you been loving lately?
What should I watch next while I bike?
