Even after a full month off in September and, let’s be honest, pretty much all of October and November too I’m still having hip issues. So, I ran a super slow 2 miles on Monday in FL while waiting for my late flight out of Cape Coral. It was so great just to be outside and moving even if it wasn’t much faster than my walk.
Without running and working out for the last 3ish months I have felt so unlike myself. Maybe even if I can’t do the 5 half marathons I have booked for this fall/winter I can take it easy and just do a mile or two a day to get outside, clear my head, and get my feet moving a bit. Let’s see how this stupid hip holds up with that plan.
I just got back from the doctor where they switched up some meds that I hope will help out, and now I am out the door on the way to Orange Theory where I may be walking instead of running, but at least I’ll be moving.
Let me know –
How do you stay motivated when you cannot work out like you used to?
