After I put out my free eBook for Periscope 101: How to be an Engaging Broadcaster (download it free through this link) tons of people were excited to start scoping, but they just had one problem – they were not sure what to scope about.
Today’s post is here to solve that problem with a One Week Periscope Challenge. With specific daily topics you’ll have something to talk about each day. There is no set week for this challenge because it is a challenge to yourself – a challenge to step out of your comfort zone, scope for a week straight, and watch as your followers grow. What do you have to lose? Go for it!
One Week Periscope Challenge Topics:
Monday – 5 Fun Things About Me
Tuesday – 3 Factors That Influence My Scopes
Wednesday – My Favorite Activity
Thursday – If I Won the Lottery
Friday – The Best Way to Relax
Before you go on camera have an idea about what you will say so you won’t feel stumped or stuck. My brainstorming might look like this:
Monday – 5 Fun Things About Me: I was so ready to be out of my 20s and into my 30s that I started rounding up, I was born without an indoor voice, at 5’10 finding pants is a true struggle – leggings are the best invention ever, I am obsessed with Colts football, my longest relationship ever is my wild threesome with Ben & Jerry.
Tuesday – 3 Factors That Influence My Scopes: I have been a teacher/coach for 12 years so I am all about helping others learn new things, I work as a social media influencer and blogger, and I love distance running and have completed 4 full marathons and more half marathons than I can count. Expect lots of awesome tips and tricks teaching you how to grow your blogging and social media following while working smarter, not harder along with scopes from my runs and details as I go through the process of becoming a running coach.
Wednesday – My Favorite Activity: Trying out anything new and exciting especially while visiting new places. I recently ziplined through the Green River Gorge outside of Asheville, NC and it was the amazingexperince. I love getting to be outside and going hiking it is just the coolest way to spend the day being active in nature.
Thursday – If I Won the Lottery: First I would be responsible and pay off all my bills along with my student loans, car, and mortgage. Once all that was taken care of, I would put lots in savings and fix my house up a little bit (bye bye single pane 1970s windows that the air comes straight through). Then I would stop my job, sorry work, and take some time to travel probably running through many awesome cities (New York, Boston, San Fran, Paris, London, Florence, etc.). I would still continue my blog work, social media channels, etc. though because the teacher/coach in my really loves this stuff.
Friday – The Best Way to Relax: I am not even going to lie and try to sound cool – my ideal Friday night is spend on the couch with NetFlix, a blanket, and a bowl of popcorn. While everyone else is out at Friday night happy hours I am happily at home just chilling.
Once you have brainstormed out your list you are ready to go. Be brave and go for it! I have turned this into a mini guide for you so that you can print it out and have the topics and examples for the week along with the checklist from Periscope 101.
