As most of you know my town of Charleston is really hurting right now, but I am so proud of how people are pulling together. It left me wondering what I could do?
Then I remembered – why not do what we do best – RUN!
We all ran to be #BostonStrong and we wear blue and #RuntoRemember, now it is time for us all to come together and #RunforCharleston.
So how do you #RunforCharleston?
Run 9 miles, one for each of the victims of this terrible tragedy.
It can be done all at once or broken up into pieces (maybe three 3 mile runs).
When you complete your 9 miles donate $9 to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund.
Then share with the hashtag #RunforCharleston all over your social media outlets and encourage others to do the same.
Just think of what we as a running community could do.
For way less than the cost of a virtual race, and barely more than your Starbucks fix, we could make a difference together.
#RunforCharleston – take on 9 miles and donate $9.
100 runners = $900 dollars raised
1,000 runners = $9,000 dollars raised
What can our running community do?
