To toss my name in and enter the NYC Marathon lottery or not?
I kept going back on forth on this one.
Admittedly the top 3 races on my bucket list, that are heads and tails above the rest, are:
1. NYC Marathon
2. Marine Corp Marathon (check)
3. Chicago Marathon
*Boston is not on there because I am not fast enough to qualify and have happily accepted this truth. It would be fun to go and cheer, but unless I magically shave 90 minutes from my marathon time (not happening) I will never actually run the course.
So, the NYC Marathon is the very top of my running bucket list, but the price…..YIKES!!!
That is one expensive race.
And to think – that is just the registration and not even the cost of the hotel and flight there.
I really thought about it and…I ENTERED!!!
It is the top of my bucket list, the marathon I want to run more than any other.
I will only be able to afford to do it once, but I want to run it at some point so why not go for it.
Plus, I have never seen NYC and what a way to tour a city.
Cross your fingers my name gets drawn.
Ever run NYC?
Did you toss your name in the lottery?
Would you go for it at a price like that?
