LÄRABAR was wonderful enough to send me a fabulous LÄRABag full of all sorts of goodies. I couldn’t wait to dig in, and dumped everything out right away to check out my awesome haul.
The LÄRABag was chocked full of stuff! I was really excited because everything that LÄRABAR makes is 100% gluten free. Since I have been gluten free for almost a year now, that is really important to me. I am always looking for gluten free snacks I can grab on the go. In addition to that all the products are also non-GMO and Kosher so you know you are putting quality stuff made from the best ingredients into your body.
LÄRABAR RENOLA is their new grain-free, gluten-free blend of non-GMO fruits, nuts, and seeds. It is granola done right! LÄRABAR RENOLA comes in three flavors: Berry, Cocoa Coconut, and Cinnamon Nut. It comes in fabulous single use servings that are perfect for snacking on the go, or pouring over Greek yogurt in the morning (my new favorite breakfast).
LÄRABAR is the Original Fruit and Nut Bar TM with each bar containing 1/4 cup of fruit or more. These bars are made from whole foods which makes them perfect for gluten free snacking on the go because I can satisfy my hunger without eating junk, which is something that I am really working on. My absolute favorite flavors are:
– Chocolate Chip Brownie
– Chocolate Coconut Chunk
– Coconut Chocolate Chip
Can you tell I LOVE chocolate and coconut?
However, if I am wanting something a bit more fruity and refreshing I really like the Lemon Bar and Key Lime Pie.

Well tonight after work I was STARVING, but knew if I didn’t get out the door quick I would lose the daylight and would not be able to head down my favorite trail, so I tossed a LÄRABAR in my pocket and headed out the door.
I was trying to enjoy my time on the trail. I love being outside. It helps me calm down and let go of the stress of a busy day at work. The light was shining through the the trees, there was a great breeze blowing, it was a fabulous 70 degree day (which feels nice and cool for Charleston), but all I could think was – AHHHH…..I am HUNGRY!!!!
Thank heavens I had thrown that LÄRABAR in my pocket.
That is actually how these awesome bars were invented. Lara Merriken, the founder or LÄRABAR, found herself on a hike in Colorado, hungry, and craving a natural food that would fit her active lifestyle perfectly, and LÄRABAR was invented. I love that she was outside working out, hiking, and thought of a way to make a better snack to take with her.
I felt wonderful eating this on the trail and continuing my workout. Since it is all natural ingredients it fills me up without messing with my stomach at all. For example, the ingredients in the particular bar were: dates, semi-sweet chocolate chips, almonds, walnuts, cocoa powder, and sea salt.
How amazing is that? All stuff I can pronounce and that I know what it is. It turned my hunger into happiness very quickly. I mean come on – gluten free, chocolaty, and made from great ingredients. That is a win-win situation.
Grab a LÄRABAR and hit a trail near you. National Take a Hike Day is on 11/17/14 and you can share your experience on your hike using the hashtags #eatclean and #getoutside.
LÄRABAR will definitely continue to be my go to for gluten free snacking on the go. It is so easy to take on the trail with me, on my other workouts, and even to just toss in my purse in case I get hungry when I am out and about. I was really impressed by LÄRABAR.
