I’ve been waiting for over 2.5 years to say this –
First pain free long run!
I smiled like an idiot for 12 pain free miles.
It was wonderful, and I was able to push the pace a bit because if it.
I ran about a whole minute per mile faster than last week. (about 10:40 per mile)
I did pause for a second thought to watch a pod of dolphins play in Breach Inlet.
Cannot push the pace too hard and miss the awesome views surrounding me.
This has been a long time coming.
I am so thankful that I finally got a sports med chiropractor a year and a half ago and then added a running coach 8 months ago. The two of them have really helped me get back on track.
Also, a HUGE thanks to everyone out there who cheered me on through all the months off running, all the races I DNS (did not start), and all the 13/14 minutes miles I struggled through.
I am a very happy, and pain free, girl right now.
I hope this is the start of something great.
Don’t call it a comeback – Comebetter!
Plus, I did it all in a matchy-matchy outfit, which is way more stylish that I usually am on my runs.
Notice the brand new Mizuno Running Wave Rider 18s. Maybe they were my good luck.
What is something recently that has made you happy?
