By now you already know I think Mizuno makes the BEST running shoes EVER (as evident by my never ending stream of blog posts, Facebook comments, and Instagram shoe pictures); however, you might not know that Mizuno also makes great running apparel too.
I recently got a chance to try out a few of these pieces and wanted to let you know what I thought. Plus, after you check out my review there is a chance for you to win your own Mizuno Running Apparel so be sure to read on.
First, I tried out the BG3000 Mid Tights which I was instantly excited about. See, at 5’10 I have never been able to find a pair of shorts long enough that I can run in them. Either they are too short and my legs rub together so much I end up battered and bruised, or I buy the longest shorts I can find and then they continue to ride and roll up so I spend the entire run trying to pull them down. I had totally given up on running in shorts and was doing even my 100+ degree July and August runs in crops when these arrived. I had a good feeling about them right away and after going on many test runs I can tell you that these have changed the way I look at shorts.
They are knee length (a bit shorter on me since I’m
scarily tall) and they stay perfectly put the entire run. That means no crazy chub rub and no pulling my shorts around. I am so excited to have shorts to run in this summer. Time for me to get more pairs of these bad boys.
Mizuno also sent me two tops – first up the Sunset Tee. As soon as I saw that they had released this shirt I knew I had to have it. I love the color combination on it. This shirt is both practical, hello moisture-wicking, and gorgeous. Perfect for transitioning from running miles to running errands. (You mean you all don’t go to the grocery store dripping sweat post workout too? At least now I will look more stylish doing it.)
Finally, I received the Akemi Singlet which is perfect for summer here in Charleston, SC. Let me fill you in on a not so little secret – it is HOT and HUMID here! This top is made from a ridiculously light-weight fabric (almost like a high tech mesh) that is extremely breathable. However, it still packs a stylish punch because the back panel has some really cool detailing built into the fabric.
The Akemi Singlet quickly became my go to 5k race top. It feels so much cooler than my other tanks making it perfect for this HOT race series.
(The BG3000 Mid Tights would have been in this race too, but I must confess my laundry wasn’t done and they were dirty. Sad.)
Now it is your turn.
Enter to win your own piece of Mizuno Running Apparel.
Since I love surprises the winner will give me their top & bottom size and a surprise package will show up at their door, I’m not telling what will be in it….shhhhhhh……
