Everything Mizuno Running –
By now you know I am Mizuno obsessed and have quite a variety of their shoes.
I just recently received their Wave Hitogami, a new shoe release, to check out. I have not had much time to try it yet, as I was tapering pre-marathon and now am recovering post-marathon; however, I think it will fit into my lineup perfectly. Since it is the lightest, and has the least cushioning, of any of my current Mizuno lineup I think it will become my speed work shoe somewhat like the Wave Sayonara (maybe it will make those treadmill interval runs better). Be on the lookout for a more in depth review later after I’ve had a few weeks to check it out.
Koss Fit Series –
A few months ago I was able to review the Koss Fit Series FitBuds and FitClips through my affiliation with FitFluential. I liked them so much I included them in Fit and Festive: A Holiday Gift Guide. These are designed for women, by women, which means their smaller size fits my ears perfectly – they stay put through my runs and spin classes.
I have a great update on the campaign and a discount for you –
The Koss Fit Series normally retail for $29.99; however, they are currently on sale for only $19.99 at your local Walgreens (for a limited time only). Hurry up and grab a pair, or two.
I complete all my long runs in my ProCompession Marathon Socks (and Mizuno shoes of course). Seriously, I love these things. Just an example: I wore them Friday for my flight into New Orleans, Saturday for the expo and tourist time, Sunday while running the marathon, and then Monday when flying home. Don’t worry I own multiple pairs. (Here I am running MCM in my black pair.)
I was super happy to learn my buddy PavementRunner was just chosen to be one of their ambassadors. Just as exciting, now we can all get 40% off all ProCompression products using his discount code – PR40.
Apera Bags –
Apera was kind enough to send me their Pearl Tech Pack just in time for the New Orleans marathon and I quickly fell in love with this bad boy. It has so many separate pockets that I was able to carry on all my race day essentials. There are special shoe pockets, room for my race day clothes, padded compartments for my tablet, places to stash all my fuel, and much, much more. Plus it is gorgeous, holds a ton, and is antimicrobial so I can’t stink it up with my running clothes. I would suggest it for anyone traveling to a race or who needs to take work and gym gear when they commute.Apera is currently running some amazing deals too. First, duffel packs are 40% off. That includes this Duffle Pack .
Also, Apera’s entire blue line is 40% off currently. That means order any bag you want, including this Sling Tote, in blue and receive a huge discount.
In addition to that, you have the chance to win an Apera bag every month. In order to enter all you have to do is sign up for their email newsletter at the bottom of their website. This will put you into the drawing every single month, so go check them out.
