By now you may have heard – it is official – marathon #2 here I come! I am so excited to be running the Country Music Marathon in Nashville on April 27th and my Mizuno Sponsorship makes it a dream come true. This is my chance to not just comeback from injury, but to live out my comebetter dreams. I hope to prove that my first marathon was just a fluke (boy was that an ugly time), this is my redemption run and I cannot wait to see me hard work and dedication pay off.
However, this race will be very different than most of my long runs because I will be on my own, T (my brilliant run buddy) will not be there with me. I will admit that driving 18 hours on my own is going to SUCK! However, once I am there I will be so excited about the race and vacation I should be fine. The one big difference – T and I always talk the entire time we run. I rarely if every listen to music since we do our long runs together and I definitely don’t have enough music to cover me for 26.2 miles. This time, since it will be just me, I will be bringing my iPod in hopes it helps me push through.
I need your help creating a playlist built for 26.2 miles:
What songs should I download to get me through the race?
I want to know your favorite running songs.
What has a good beat, good lyrics, or just motivates you some how?
It could be super old or brand new I am up for anything.
Plus I currently listen to country, rap/R&B, pop, rock, etc. so no genre is off limits.
Please help a girl out with some song suggestions.
My current favorite workout/run song:
Not only does this song have a fun beat, but it has the best worst line ever:
”pull a damn hamstring tryna put it on ya”
Makes me crack up every time!
If you pull a hamstring “trying to put it on” someone I think you are doing something wrong.
Or WAY too wild.
maybe I am doing something wrong that I’ve never put it on someone hard enough to pull a hamstring. RIDICULOUS!
(Dad, ignore that. I’ve never put it on anyone. 30 year old virgin.)
