If you have been following me for a bit you know my absolute favorite piece of running equipment is my current (I have many) pair of Mizuno Wave Creations. Here we are together post 18 miler this past weekend. Don’t we make a pretty couple? 😉
I may be slightly full blown, bat crap, ridiculously crazy about Mizuno. They are an amazing company with amazing people, fabulous service, and the best running shoes EVER! I have been so happy with them that I can honestly tell you that if Mizuno never acknowledged me again I would still never run in another shoe – my Wave Creations are that fabulous.
However, I have been very blessed because Mizuno had done so much for me over the past year. They helped me reward and thank my brilliant running buddy, the one who introduced me to Mizuno in the first place, and even made me a part of their Mezamashii Project and let me help spread the brilliant run love to others around the country.
However, Mizuno has done it this time – they have gone way above and beyond.
Mizuno believes not only in elite runners, not just in the front of the pack people, they believe that all runners deserve a brilliant run.
They support those of us who work 40+ hour a week jobs and squeeze our runs in late at night and early in the morning whether training for an ultra, your very first 5K, or just out for a workout.
Mizuno is there for the front of the pack runners, the middle of the pack runners, and even the very last person to cross the finish line – because if you think you are a runner…. YOU ARE! And don’t we all deserve a brilliant run?!?
On that note I would like to announce that as part of their Mezamashii Project Mizuno is sponsoring my redemption marathon, my comebetter, they believe in me – in the runner I am and the runner I am struggling to become (just like they believe in all of you) and because of that they are sending me to Nashville to run the Country Music Marathon!
I cannot put into words how honored and amazed I feel to have the chance to not only represent a company I love so much, but to be able to run this race for my absolute favorite running company.
This marathon is for Mizuno, it is for all the brilliant runners out there, it is for everyone of you who laces up when you’re tired, who runs through the rain/snow/heat, who has struggled and pushed and crawled their way back from injury because they cannot see themselves as anything other than a runner, this is for me – my redemption – my comebetter, this one is for us all. Thank you Mizuno!
(P.S.- I had to spell check this post about a million times because I cannot stop shaking and type.)
A reenactment of the moment I read the email from Mizuno about the sponsorship. I wish I was joking this is seriously what it looked like (and I was out in public):
What is one thing that has made your crazy happy lately?
This seriously made my day week month. (Maybe even year.)
