Simple Crab Cakes

Perhaps one of my absolute favorite dishes to make are these simple crab cakes.  They not only wow anyone you serve them for with their restaurant quality taste, but they are also surprisingly easy to make.  If you can pour, stir, smoosh, and bake this is just the showstopper recipe for you.

Now for the stats on these simple crab cakes; since, one of my healthy eating goals for 2013 is to continue counting calories and trying to make smarter food decisions.  This recipe is meant to serve four people with each person getting two crab cakes.  For a full serving, or two whole crab cakes, it is only 211 calories total.  Just above 100 calories per crab cake.  Amazing!

On top of that these easy crab cakes are not only healthy and simple they are delicious – tons of crab with next to no breading/filling.  In truth I no longer order crab cakes when I am out at a restaurant because I know I can make them so simply at home and usually much better.  What sucks more than ordering crab cakes at a restaurant and getting mostly breading with just a bit of crab?  No chance of that happening now!

What is one of your favorite fancy restaurant style meals that you make at home?
