From my wild, wacky, wonderful family to yours I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday.
In past years Thanksgiving has moved up in the world and quickly become my favorite holiday. Something about getting to spend the day with my family and best friends all while getting to cook and indulge in fabulous food just makes me happy!
However, I must admit that one of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions only started a few years ago. After Thanksgiving dinner we all sit down together and decorate gingerbread men. It becomes a bit of a competition with some trash talk and many laughs involved, exactly what you would expect from a family as ridiculously amazing as mine.
If you have no clue why my gingerbread man is decorated like that, and you have a sense of humor, watch this hilarious SNL video. (Do NOT watch when your kids are around, if you are easily offended, or just a grump.)
FYI- This made me love Justin Timberlake 100% more. Nice to know he has a sense of humor.

I feel like a stuffed turkey…..ugggghhhh
I am thankful for for delicious food, great family & friends, and my favorite holiday EVER!
Thanksgiving dominated, leftovers will be destroyed for lunch, then back on track.
What Thanksgiving traditions does your family have?
#givethanks Day 23 –
Survived my first ever Black Friday shopping experience in one piece today.
I must have gone at the exact right time because it wasn’t much busier than any normal weekend.
Went to one store (NY), headed straight for what I wanted (a new coat), and left.
Okay, not the full truth, it took me forever to decide. I am wearing the same coat I got when I went to college twelve years ago (plus it is a bit too big now) so I decided it was time to upgrade and I knew all their coats were 50% off today, plus I had an additional 10% off coupon. I could not decide between a knee length, belted, dark purple coat that looks a bit fancier and a more casual, shorter, hip length, bright blue one. I liked the dark purple color better, but the cut of the blue one. I stood there going back and forth for 20 minutes taking them on and off. Then I rationalized that it was only $100 for both coats and normally a winter coat would cost more than $100, so I now have two new coats that fit.
Did you brave the chaos of Black Friday to get any shopping done?
If so did you get any great deals?
