If loving Mizuno Running is wrong, I don’t want to be right!
I fell in deep, ridiculous, crazy, runner love with Mizuno about 10 months ago. I had been wearing the same, pretty popular, running shoes for a while and they had always been fine. Then I started to move from half marathon training to marathon training and suddenly it is as though my toenails were rebelling from my body. I know losing a toenail is some running badge of honor, but it is one I can do without. (I mean I live in a place where you can wear flip-flops 8 months a year and was stuck painting raw skin to try and get it to look like I had a toenail. Ugggghhhhh…)
My running partner has been wearing Mizunos since middle school so I decided to give them a try. I visited their website and used the Mizuno Precision Fit tool to find the right shoe for me and BOOM… my Wave Creation love affair began.
Toenails? 10 check!
Knee pain? Much improved.
Slightly Highly obsessed. Since then, the fabulous people at Mizuno have generously allowed me to become a member of their Mezamashii Project. Probably because I was shouting my Mizuno love from the mountain tops (of social media) and they figured there was no way to shut up my Mizuno rambles (rants) so why not encourage them.
So, you will not believe my excitement when I heard a knock on the door Tuesday night. Okay, actually it was shock at first because I was about to go for a run and therefore had stripped off all my work clothes and of course the knock came at the exact second I was butt naked. As my window is right above the front door I peeked down and saw the delivery man, who refuses to leave any packages at my place since it is an apartment. At this point I yelled, “Coming!” and pulled on anything near me. Pretty sure I grabbed my package in a winter coat I was holding closed. (Hey, I didn’t want him to leave with my mail.) You will not believe my level of excitement when I opened the box up and saw these babies. Amazing! Mizuno was nice enough to give me the Enigma as part of the Mezamashii project and I did a Mizuno Enigma review, basically I loved them too, but decided the Wave Creation was my favorite so having a new pair = fabulous. Especially since I am just getting back to running, want to treat my body really well, and my last pair was getting kind of beat up.
Dorothy wishes she had these ruby red stunners. Maybe then she could have run her way home, it beats heel clicking any day.
Ruby Red Running Shoes > Ruby Slippers
So today Nov. 16- I #givethanks for the #brilliant run that my Mizuno Wave Creations provide. Yes, I know I am a bit of an addict, and I LOVE it!
I am currently obsessed with these shoes. I would never have picked red for myself, but am digging it. They may even be replacing my purple pair as my favorite looking run shoes ever.
What is your favorite type of running shoe?
What has been your best looking running shoe so far?
*Disclaimer – All thoughts expressed in this post are my own. While I did receive a free pair of shoes from Mizuno that did not alter my review which is my own awesome opinion.
And since I did not blog last night here is my #givethanks from yesterday:
