Some days I must remind myself that this whole learning to live healthy thing is a journey.
Times like this it is very obvious I have not yet reached my intended destination.
Do we ever? Is anyone ever perfectly healthy?
If it were easy everyone would do it. At least I am trying and moving forward every day.
(Well maybe not yesterday.)Coulda resisted the 75% off Halloween candy sale, coulda had just one serving (17 pieces) like I planned and saved the rest – instead I demolished the entire bad in about 15 minutes. Whoops!
(FYI- That is not a single serving bag, it is a full, 7 serving, 1,260 calorie bag.)Shoulda gone to the gym to burn off all the M&Ms I consumed, but instead I celebrated night class being cancelled, for once, by calling Cari and I going to her place to hang out – no gym.Woulda walked like we had planned to do, but neither of us had ever seen this movie before and we got really distracted. REALLY! (Were there any other characters beside the ruggedly handsome, super attractive, sex on a stick, Huntsman in the movie? If so I did not notice.)
I have the day off today since all the schools are used a polling places so I am back on track. After my 90 minute workout I cooked up some red & green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and chicken sausage to add to my pasta sauce for some yummy, but healthy meals this week.
Since I missed blogging yesterday, yea, yea, see above:
Nov. 5 – I am grateful that I get to go see my Oma in California over the holidays this year. She is the only grandparent I have left, almost 90, and fabulous. I am pretty sure all my good crazy comes from her – my silliness, my energy, all of it. #givethanks
Nov. 6 – I am so glad, no matter the election results, that I live in a country where I get the chance for my voice to be heard. #givethanks
I was out the door before 6:30 on my day off. Even though I was at the polls 30 minutes before they opened I still had to wait a hour to vote, but boy was it worth it. I feel good knowing I was there for my fourth presidential election in a row. Haven’t missed one yet, don’t plan on it. (I never have time to do my hair, put on makeup, or wear anything besides teacher clothes so I will be sitting on my couch in skinny jeans and cute boots with my hair done and makeup on all by myself just because I can. HA!)
Did you vote?
Were your lines more or less than my hour?
